About the Session
Theme : Building Human Connections. Shaping Careers.
The Career Day Fall 2026 event, hosted by the Member Care Portfolio of the PMI Lakeshore Ontario Chapter, is a purpose-driven professional development event designed to bring people together to learn, connect and explore new possibilities in their careers.
The event brings together a diverse mix of participants including students, newcomers, job seekers, early-career professionals, experienced practitioners, industry leaders, recruitment professionals and educators for a shared experience focused on growth, connection and opportunity .

Swapna Shrivastava, M.Eng, MBA, LSS MBB
Swapna Shrivastava brings more than 25 years of leadership experience at the intersection of process re-engineering, digital transformation, and practical AI enablement. She has led enterprise initiatives across Aerospace, Banking, and the Not-for-Profit sector, including at Bombardier Aerospace, TD, and CIBC. Her own path across industries, roles, and emerging technologies gives her a practical perspective on transferable skills and career repositioning.
As Founder and CEO of LeanAstro, she works directly with leaders and teams to identify opportunities for workflow improvement, automation, and AI. She translates business needs into practical technology requirements, supports implementation, and delivers the training and adoption activities needed to achieve measurable value and return on investment. Her approach starts with the work and not the latest tool.
She holds advanced degrees from McGill University and the Schulich School of Business and is a Master Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
Outside of work, Swapna is an amateur astronomer, Vice-President of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada - Mississauga Centre, and a mother of two beautiful daughters.

Michael Ghobros, P.Eng., M.Eng., PMP
Michael Ghobros is an executive technology and software engineering leader with over 20 years of experience driving enterprise-scale digital transformation, AI adoption, and global platform delivery. Throughout his career, he has scaled complex software engineering organizations, specializing in cloud-native modernization, SaaS architecture, intelligent system integration, and AI-driven operational efficiency across both the public and private sectors.
A Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and Project Management Professional (PMP), Michael holds a Master of Engineering in Technology Innovation Management from Carleton University. He brings a deep technical foundation in software systems and emerging technology strategy, helping organizations bridge the gap between engineering execution and high-impact business outcomes.
Michael currently serves as Board Chairman of the Project Management Institute Lakeshore Ontario Chapter (PMILOC), where he has held key executive positions, including President. He is also an active mentor and technology leader dedicated to advancing software engineering excellence, intelligent delivery practices, and modern tech leadership.

Ali Asad (MD, MBA, CCPE)
Award-winning biopharmaceutical commercial leader with 16+ years of experience driving growth, launch excellence, and business transformation across Canadian and global markets. Proven track record of building market-leading brands, launching innovative therapies, leading high-performing teams, and delivering sustained results across Oncology, Vaccines, Specialty Care, and Consumer Health. Combining medical and business expertise, Ali translates scientific innovation into strategic value, commercial growth, and improved patient outcomes. He currently leads GI Oncology marketing at AstraZeneca Canada, where he has successfully launched and grown several market-leading brands.

Ayham Haj Ahmad is a mechatronics engineer, project management professional, and executive coach with a multidisciplinary career spanning engineering, construction, operations, and business transformation across the Middle East and Canada. Over more than a decade, he has led cross-functional projects and guided organizations through significant change and growth.
He is the founder of Renovon, a business transformation consultancy focused on change management, leadership development, and the practical integration of AI into modern business practices.
He also serves as Vice President of Membership for Speak with Spark, a Toastmasters club affiliated with PMI Lakeshore Ontario Chapter, supporting member growth in communication and leadership.
Ayham is especially passionate about career transformation, having seen firsthand that professional experience is often more transferable than a job title suggests. Himanshu Joshi

Himanshu Joshi is the Founder and CEO of COHUMAIN Labs, where he leads initiatives on collective intelligence between humans and machines. He spearheaded the development of SAFEALIGN AI, a platform focused on the safe, secure, and aligned deployment of agentic AI in enterprises. Previously, he served as a Team Lead for the AI Projects at the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence, driving responsible AI initiatives that generated over $170 million in documented enterprise value across Fortune 500 organizations.
An internationally recognized thought leader in agentic AI, governance, and AI security, Himanshu has authored books and LinkedIn Learning courses on AI adoption and published 15+ peer-reviewed papers at leading venues including NeurIPS, ICLR, IEEE, AAAI, and ICDM. He serves as Program Chair for the AAAI 2026 AI Governance Workshop and contributes as a track lead and reviewer across major global AI conferences. He is also the recipient of the AI Ally of the Year 2025 (North America): Special Jury Award.
He completed the EPGM at the MIT Sloan School of Management and is pursuing doctoral research on human-AI collective intelligence, alongside an M.S. in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Texas at Austin. He also holds double M.S. degrees in Technology and Strategy.
