President's Message

2014 - Spring Update

Dear Members of the Lakeshore Chapter

I’m extremely honoured to be representing the members of the Lakeshore Chapter as their President. I know I have some large shoes to fill from those that were elected before me, however I will not be alone in my journey. I’m very excited to be working with and alongside the elected Board of Directors.

I would like to thank our past year’s Board of Directors for their dedication, commitment and their passion. Together we were able to achieve the goals we had set out to do and for this I’m very grateful.

Our highlights included:

  • Two Symposiums: The Symposium 2013 – “Times have Changed! Be Updated or Be Outdated” and The Symposium 2014 – “The Power of Diversity”

  • Career Day 2014 - Providing members to meet the experts and to understand how to align skills, define their brand, highlight core competencies and build their network to land in their dream job

  • Launch of the Agile Leadership program

Together our newly elected board members, in conjunction with four (4) returning members, have a wealth of knowledge and respect for the Project Management profession. I feel confident in saying that we make a Strong Team that will lead this Chapter into the New Year. Please join me in welcoming and congratulating:

  • Chairman (Past President) – Wael Ramadan

  • President – Richard Steer

  • Senior Vice President – Mihaela Duceag

  • Secretary – Pamela King

  • Treasurer – Annette Rusnell

  • Director of Marketing – Kathryn Pottruff

  • Director of Professional Development – Angelo Baratta

  • Director of Membership – Fatima Gadoury

  • Director of Communications – Chuck Wong

Driven by you, our members, this team will be focused on:

  1. Continued growth of our younger generation of Lakeshore Members through the establishment of strategic partnerships
  2. Increase the Chapter’s membership
  3. Develop a strategic marketing plan for building corporate partnerships
  4. Increase the Chapter’s Professional Development offerings
